MindField at Beirut Marathon - An experience of joy and awareness|November 10 2013

MindField team registered in the 2013 Beirut International Marathon in the 10K run under “Our Web Solutions Fit your Need” slogan.

For MindField, the marathon was more than just a healthy event to participate in. It was a day to spread wakefulness for “Movember”. A movement that raises awareness for prostate and testicular cancer as well as depression for men.

The traditions of this movement involve the growing of a moustache during the month of November.

Our Mo'Bros in MindField Solutions grew out their moustache & our fellow Mo' Sistahs wore a Mo during the marathon. Vana Bilemjian, the Executive Assistant at MindField says “I liked the feeling of being a man. If I were a man, I would be a chick magnet!”

‘Movember’ grabbed the public's attention in the marathon and people were surprised to hear about it. Noha Boukaram, the Digital Account Manager at MindField says “…I was shocked by how small the number of people that knew about the Movember movement was.”

The event preceded a teasing campaign on MindField’s social media as MindField launched a game application on Facebook which supports the Movember movement. The marathon day was an unforgettable experience where our team mingled and bonded together.

Mohammad Alameh, a Developer at MindField says “It was a very nice experience. Everyone was running for different causes and the overall spirit was filled with joy."

Nothing builds a strong team like outings. Our team members had such an incredible time that the other team members can not wait to participate in the upcoming marathon!

Because MindField's team got to spend time with each other in a casual and open environment, they came back to the office as a stronger team with improved communication skills. They were able to tackle goals and projects as a unit because of the strong bond they built together.

Overall, the co-workers noticed a positive change in their attitudes toward each other.

MindField’s position on this? We think it’s very clear where we stand!
